happens. How do I get the internet explorer to open when i click on links or try to open mail in messenger ?

hopefully you uninstalled it in the add/remove programs. also when you installed yahoo, did you do it using firefox, if so, you'll need to download the yahoo for IE. since you can't get IE to open, goto the add/remove programs and find IE in the list. now click the delete. it will not delete it but rather give you 3 options. the option you want is to repair IE. do this and it should be back to normal.

Go to the Internet Options of IE and look for the Set as Default browser option. Do the check and when it asks you to make it your default browser, click yes.

Reply:The answer above from gas-indyc is not correct, that method only work if you're using Win 98,ME or Win 2000. Internet Explorer 6 is integrated into Win XP and Microsoft doesn't ship a repair tool with it. There are 2 ways you can repair IE 6, check the sites below:

Reply:open IE go to tools, internet options, go to the programs tab. at the bottom of the window check the box to have it check if its the default browser. then close and re open and make it the default browser. after that it should work.
