Email/messenger question!!!?

ok my family, which is 7 people total, all share the same internet thingy. and i set up the Yahoo messenger like a few weeks ago, and now everytime i get emails it pops up in the corner so everyone can see it!!! is there a way to make that stop? gawsh i hope someone know's what i mean...

Yes you can





First you need to log in with your yahoo id in Yahoo messenger





Now in messenger click on the menu called messenger.


(left side of "contacts")





In that go to preferences. (shortcut key: Ctrl+Shift+P)





Now go to alert n sound.





Now in that there is box.In that there r many options





select the option called " I receive massage in yahoo mail"





select that option





Now bottom side you can see some option with check mark.





Uncheak the massage called "showing a massage at the right bottom corner of the screen"





Now save that option.





Thats it. You done!!
Reply:I know what your saying, but the only way to get it to not pop up is to sign out or uninstall Yahoo Messanger.
Reply:A simple way I know is; Do not log in automatically and whenever you are not on your desk turn off the software.
Reply:You can also set your user name with different password, so yahoo massenger if opened will ask for paswor every time you log on.
