Both me and my husband have Yahoo email addresses and we both want to be able to use Yahoo instant messager service with out using the other person's screen name/email address. Is this even possible?

Reply:This sounds like a question for customer support, since Yahoo should know the limitations of its namebrand software. I don't need or like IM services and can only guess that you may need multiple installations or use a new "parent" email address and spawn personal emails addresses off of it.
Reply:Sure, log in as UserX and yours loads, log in as User Y and other loads. Friends list and junk stays with the user logged in.

I'm looking for an application that can do following : MSN/Yahoo/ICQ messaging (Skype text messaging would be nice too), POP3 Email support and Browsing. Importantly, all this has to be able to run through HTTP proxy server as well, including Messenger and Email downloads..


It doesn't have to be freeware, but trial would help..

Type in the address bar http://profiles.yahoo.com/abcd where abcd is the user id. You will be able to find the person's profile available with yahoo.
