I can access email, but messenger service auto not working?

I can access email service, but cannot get into messenger service. I usually don't have to do anything because it is set on auto sign in. Does yahoo messenger service sometimes have problems in that area of connection

The problem is on Yahoo's end. Mine has been down since yesterday. I removed and reinstalled it, changed the password, and did everything else suggested to me. There are a lot of people posting questions about this. I guess we all just have to wait until Yahoo fixes whatever their problem is.
Reply:Yeah the same issue is going around world wide. Im not sure but it seems like certain servers are down. My friend from the West Coast is having no problems. But Im in central US and nothing I try is working. Just one of those sit back and relax issues and maybe Yahoo will figure out the problem soon.

2. Click Contacts.


3. Choose a person to talk with. Click the yellow smiley face button next to that contact after choosing.


4. Type a message and click Send (You can check your email at the same time. Just click "Home" and check mail from there. You do not need to download this. To talk again, click the tab (same browser) with the contact's name).

i think you can get in there again if you answer a security question that you chose when you first signed up to yahoo.. hope this helps

I have an email with gmail and want to load yahoo messenger do i need a yahoo email or can i use gmail?

I want to know If i am able to use my gmail when loading yahoo messenger. I don't want to have to set up a yahoo email because i wont use it. Is there any way that can be done. If yes please let me know how to make a yahoo id with out making a yahoo email account.

You will need a yahoo id, that doesn't mean that you have to actually utilize the email function.
